Josh LeSage grew up in Baton Rouge, LA with two brothers and a sister. He graduated from a Christian high school and attended LSU, where he earned an BS in Ed. He moved to Houston, Texas to teach social studies and coach multiple sports. Upon returning home to Baton Rouge, Josh was assigned to teach social studies in the classroom immediately next door to the woman he would marry. Dr. LeSage would often find herself observing Josh’s class, supposedly for teaching tips. At least that is Josh’s story.

Josh and Dr. Kimberly LeSage have three amazing children, boy, girl, boy, ages 14, 11, and 9. Dr. LeSage works remotely for the University of Wisconsin in Madison. They moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 2020, and now God has brought them to Portland Christian here in Louisville.

Between teaching in public school and moving to the Phoenix area to lead the largest Christian high school in the state, Josh earned two graduate degrees, one in educational leadership, and the second in pastoral counselling. Josh served as a public-school administrator in the Baton Rouge area, a Christian school headmaster, and as a high ranking official in the Louisiana Department of Education before launching a private consulting firm.

Josh is an experienced Christian educator with a variety of experiences in both the public and private sector. He comes to Portland with a great appreciation for the school’s rich history and spiritual legacy and an excitement about what God is going to do in the next 100 years.

In his personal life, Josh loves college football, and in particular, his LSU Tigers. Josh enjoys golf and tennis and spends most of his free time with his children. He is looking forward to finding a great church in the area and building community.
