The partners who share in the ministry of Portland Christian School have come from over 90 years of alumni and friends who love and believe in God’s ministry at PCS. Gifts from these partners vary from ten dollars a month to thousands of dollars per year. The faithfulness of the school’s donors has sustained the school since 1924. What better way to aid in building the Kingdom than to invest in a child?
Portland Christian School is committed to honoring our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the Creator of all things, with a learning environment that is based on biblical principles and is intellectually stimulating. Partnering with PCS is an investment in discipleship, as well as education, “so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work”. (II Timothy 3:17, NIV)

Portland Christian School is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. All donations to PCS are tax-deductible. Portland Christian School is founded upon the fact that the “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge.” (Proverbs 1:7, NIV) It is dedicated to presenting every subject in the light of the reality of God and of the revelation of Himself to man through the Word of God, the Bible, and to the specific teachings of the Bible. The staff is composed of Christians who are dedicated to serving God and youth.

Stocks or Other Appreciated Assets
By donating appreciated stock you’ve held for over a year, you can avoid capital gains tax and claim the full market value as a charitable deduction, allowing you to give more without spending more. This tax-efficient way of giving benefits both you and Portland Christian School. Contact us for our DTC number and account information.
IRA Charitable Rollover
Consider donating part or all of your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) directly to Portland Christian School (PCS) through a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) to make a tax-wise impact. For retirees 73 and older, this option can reduce taxable income, and 100% of your contribution supports PCS’s mission to cultivate future culture changers for Christ. To get started, contact your IRA custodian to arrange the transfer before December 31.
Corporate Matching Gifts
When an employee makes a donation, they’ll request a matching gift from their employer. The employer then makes their own donation to the nonprofit. Check with your employer to see if your gift can be matched.

Legacy Builder
God has used generations of faithful individuals who gave regularly to financially sustain the ministry of Portland Christian School. These donors have helped bridge the $1,300 gap between what it costs to educate a student and what PCS receives in non-gift income each year. In doing so they also made it possible for the 25% of our students who are granted tuition assistance to receive this Christ-centered education. Most of our regular donors gave $20 to $100 a month, but together their impact was great.
Today a new generation is needed who will step up to sustain and grow the ministry through regular giving. PCS is in its 100th year, join us in leaving a rich legacy for the next generation by becoming a Legacy 2024 monthly or quarterly donor.
